« La sculpture de Teddy Riner est pour moi une rencontre inoubliable ici, au grand hôtel Prince de Galles sur l’avenue George V pendant l’exposition Monumental George V.
Cette sculpture est toute une séquence à l’hommage des grands talents des gens de Guadeloupe. J’ai eu le privilège de faire la sculpture de Maryse Condé l’année dernière, sur la commande de Krystel Ann Art, qui a suggéré de faire ce grand talent de judo mondial, 10 fois champion mondial.
C’est une sculpture qui le représente torse nu, c’est un peu inhabituel pour lui, mais c’est très artistique. C’était ma volonté de donner cette puissance au personnage qui est un grand homme. J’ai eu beaucoup de plaisir d’avoir cette opportunité magnifique, et de rencontrer des gens de Guadeloupe qui sont venus visiter et voir la sculpture de Teddy Riner. »

This sculpture is part of a series that pays tribute to the great talents of Guadeloupe. Last year I had the privilege of creating a sculpture of Maryse Condé at the request of Krystel Ann Art, which then suggested that I create a sculpture of this great judo athlete, a ten-time world champion.
This sculpture represents him shirtless, which is a little unusual for him, but very artistic. I really wanted to give this feeling of power to Riner, who is such a great man. I am thrilled to have had this wonderful opportunity, and to have met people from Guadeloupe who came to visit and see the sculpture of Teddy Riner. »
